The Sudbury Métis Council is a charter member of the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO), The Charter Agreement along with the Community Code and Community Electoral code are the policy documents that the SMC refers to when holding mandatory community elections.

RE: Posting of Vacancies for the SUDBURY MÉTIS COUNCIL
 
Pursuant to Article 32 of the Sudbury Métis Council Community Code, the council is
serving notice of 2 VACANCIES that currently needs to be filled on council.

Interested candidates need to send either a Resume or Letter of Intent with recent
address and MNO Citizenship number to the attention of the Sudbury Métis Council
After the close of nominations, all nominated candidates will need to be verified as per
MNO Policy #2018-001. Those candidates who do not meet the verification
requirements will not be able to participate as a candidate.
 
This position will remain open until Thursday, June 20, 2024 at midnight. Council will
inform the successful candidates after their next council meeting.
 
This notice may be reposted pending the outcome of this first call to fill the vacancy.
